They say how you spend your days is how you spend your life. If that’s true, Monday was a win.
My day started at 5:50 AM. There’s a certain stillness in the air at that hour that makes focusing easy, which was perfect for getting some early drone shots handled. By the time most people were pouring their first cup of coffee, I had my routine checked off and was hitting the road for our office meeting at Re/Max Professionals North.
The Power of Showing Up
I recently made the move to be more involved in the office, and today reminded me why. Sitting in a meeting chaired by Katie Rowe, we dove into the latest market stats and upcoming community events. There is a specific energy you get from being in the room—discussing office tours and upcoming training—that you just can’t replicate from a home office.
It’s about being "all in" for my clients. Whether it’s relisting a lot for a client like Rick or sending out feedback on a lakefront property, that momentum from the office carries over into the work.
Support Local, Live Local
In between client calls and database updates, I took some time to head into town. It was Susan’s birthday, and I wanted to find something special. I managed to find a great gift locally—there’s something satisfying about supporting the same community that supports my business.
A Different Kind of Service
The "workday" might end at 5:00 PM for some, but in this town, we wear many hats. After a great dinner with the family, I headed out to Fire Practice. It’s always good to catch up with the guys and sharpen the skills needed to keep our community safe.
The night wrapped up with the best kind of "overtime"—picking up Faith and heading to the rink for hockey practice.
The Bottom Line
My Game Sheet for Monday had a simple reminder at the top: "Do not waste a day." Between the early morning drone flights, the deep dive into market data, and the evening at the fire hall, I can safely say no time was wasted. It’s a busy life, but when you’re doing it in a community you love, it’s worth every minute.
