Selwyn Township is looking to acquire approximately 54 acres of land known as 758 Robinson Rd. This property is to be added to the existing Parkland known as Robert E. Young Recreation Complex. This property will be purchased from Paul and Judy Crough for the amount that will not exceed the cost of $72,000. As zoning bylaw amendment must be completed to join the two parcels. The majority of the property is tree covered it is environmentally constrain, do to the existence of provincially significant wetland. This property will be a valuable addition to the current complex property.
To follow the Township Recreational Master Plan this additional acreage will provide an opportunity to develop a recreational trail in the natural environment. Awesome news Selwyn.
